I have two MTD 535's, so after much soul-searching I have decided to let the fancy one go. The specs:

Domestic tulipwood body
Quilted maple top
Cherry sunburst finish
Matching headstock
Wenge neck, wenge fingerboard
Bartolini pickups and preamp

This bass is in excellent condition, with a couple of minor dings, mostly on the edges of the body. Frets, neck, and everything else are perfect. This is a fat, punchy bass that I would never part with except I have another nearly identical 535 (minus the matching headstock).

I am looking for a trade for a Ken Lawrence Brase. I will happily add the right amount of delicious cash for the right bass. I will post some pictures in the next day or two, or send me an e:mail address and I will send them directly to you!

I could tell you how much I paid for it, but then I'd have to kill you! ;) :D

Man, just KNOWNING how much you paid for it would probably be enough to do me in. The bass looks like sex with 5 strings though, I'm sure it'll let you rock out with your sock out no problem! :-D

Thanks to all who replied! The bass will be on its way to a good home by lunch time. I will miss this bass, but I have its plain sister to play the daylights out of. I will continue to try to find a Kenneth Lawrence five string, but in the meantime Cameron from Trading Basses is taking care of me with a six string.
