Hey all,

I just brused off my old Bass Guitar, and started playing it, I never got into it, but my friend just got a really nice Fender, and I want to eventually get something to match his Guitar. Would anyone have suggestions? I am a big fan of Rush, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, and basically most Prog and Classic Rock, which is the music we will end up playing, once we get better. My price range is ~100-250, beyond that is tough, I guess 300 is acceptable.

I have been doing some research, and I'm looking for a Short or Medium Scale Bass too.

I guess for that price range, the Squire Vintage Jazz bass would work good.

ehh...i would go with a epophone gothic..but i would do the sunburnt finish cause thet are all head turners

DEFINITELY look at some Rally basses. According to my teacher (the guy who sold me one of the best ones) they are made by Gibson, with Gibson pickups, when i got my Basso11 i was amazed at how well it played and sounds, my god how it sounds!! and still am. they really are brilliant instruments for the price!
