A few months ago I posted a message about Delta Airlines’ hostile policy toward musicians bringing their instruments as carry-on baggage on their flights and the Musicians’ Union’s subsequent boycott of the airline over the policy. Well, I’m happy to announce that Delta has changed their policies and has agreed to accommodate reasonably sized instruments whenever possible. The Union has lifted the boycott and is encouraging its members to fly Delta again. This is great news for hard-working traveling musicians, as well as everyone who likes hearing live music. I appreciate your attention on this and I hope you’ll once again think of Delta as a good choice when you‘ve got to get somewhere with your prized bass.

This is definitely good news to my ears...i mean, c'mon, a bassist isn't a security threat :D
a threat to guitar players maybe, but not airlines:p

Thanks for the info Mike.Cus a lot you guys need to fly,and I need to keep drawing a paycheck from the "Big D".We really do appreciate you business. It's always a good idea to call ahead before your flight and make sure the policy hasn't changed.Things can change really quick these days. So,thanks for flying Delta, and please return the flight attendant to her original upright position...
