how do you do when you want to have a gloss maple fingerboard ?

- gloss the fingerboard, put the frets and then gloss the back of the neck ?
- put the frets and gloss the neck + fingerboard (+frets ???) ?

how high end builders do ?

This is how we do it:
1. Sand /(Polish) neck + fingerboard
2. Put frets in
3. Gloss neck + fingerboard including frets
4. Use a small sharp knife to cut the paint where the fret meets the fretboard (be carefull no to cut the fretboard or the fret)
5. Level frets
6. Shape / crown / polish frets
7. Have a beer
