Ive been downsizing my collection of basses for a couple months. Not enough time or space. I came across a thru body neck that some one cut the body off(the wings) and made a mess. I decided it would be a good headless project. I could not get the dimensions of a steinberger so I relied on my old math skills and did a drawing from a photo. It looks surprisingly acurate.
:help:
Im shaping the head for the headless hardware and I have a question....The head has ball slots and grooves to align the strings, this also acts as the nut .Im having to shim the heal where the head sits and sand back to get it to set correctly.can someone give me a measurement on distance off the top of the fretboard to the bottom of the strings? I know Ill have to assemble and take it apart several times to get it correct and Id rather not have the hassle.
Thanx ahead of time.M
