VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Expression Pedal Board
Happynoj 06-11-2007, 08:42 AM Anscari's thread about an all-tube pedal board got me thinking. How awesome would it be to have a pedal board that ONLY had expression pedals on it? I don't want stuff that can be controlled by pedals, like the Moogs, rather stuff like this:
Wah pedal

Anyone got anything else? Really, it needs an OD/Dist.
00Funk 06-11-2007, 08:50 AM This would be very cool

And heavy! ;)
Anscari 06-11-2007, 09:09 AM Oh God, I've made someone think :D
There's a Fuzz in a exp. pedal but I don't remember neither the brand nor the model.
And, BTW, that would be a bada$$-looking pedalboard!
Happynoj 06-11-2007, 02:55 PM I have just though of a problem. Turning them on and off would be a nightmare.
You would have to have a true bypass strip. :rollno:
Max Roberts 06-11-2007, 02:59 PM Death by audio would happily put a OD/Distortion etc into a wah pedal controlling whatever you want.
Max Roberts 06-11-2007, 03:01 PM Here's loads of things to think about. (http://www.killerrockandroll.com/deathbyaudio/custom.html)
SteveMcB 06-11-2007, 03:02 PM Akai used to make an OD/Distortion with an expression pedal. Or the Digitech expression factory, which has distortion models but uses the expression pedal for other effects...
Rather than a true bypass looper, you could use an EB stereo pan/volume to pan between effects and non-effects paths  Guess you'd need a mixer at the other end though. Never seen a mixer with an expression pedal!

TheBigO 06-11-2007, 03:02 PM Two options come to mind for a chorus:
1) The George Dennis GD90 (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/George-Dennis-GD90-Stereo-ChorusFlangerVolume-Pedal?sku=154246&src=3SOSWXXA) Stereo Chorus-Flanger-Volume Pedal
2) An Analog Man Chorus (http://www.analogman.com/clone.htm) built into a Wah.
From the Analog Man website:
We can also build a chorus pedal into a new black crybaby shell, with a knob on the side for depth and the "wah" pedal controlling the speed.
Happynoj 06-11-2007, 03:08 PM There is a flanger on the DBA site. And also ring mods, and white noise generators. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
This would be cool if someone made it. I'm not going to though. Too much money...

They will make it for you...
A lot of money but looks worth it!
Anscari 06-11-2007, 03:26 PM Aha!
The FoXX Fuzz Wah Volume!
TaylorW 06-11-2007, 04:48 PM the Variphase sucks. I bought it and returned it within 30 minutes.
sonicvi 06-11-2007, 04:51 PM Boss made a distortion in the 80's, the PD-1 or something like that.
moogboy 06-11-2007, 04:54 PM Here's loads of things to think about. (http://www.killerrockandroll.com/deathbyaudio/custom.html)
you are TRYING to make my GAS go uncontrollable arent you?
Max Roberts 06-11-2007, 05:18 PM you are TRYING to make my GAS go uncontrollable arent you?
Yep.
Happynoj 06-12-2007, 03:44 AM Two contenders for the spot of OD/Dist then:
1) Boss PD-1
http://homepage3.nifty.com/~session/pd-1.jpg
2) Foxx Fuzz Wah
http://www.musictoyz.com/img20065/foxx.jpg
Although on closer inspection, it appears that this MAY be a wah with built in fuzz
The PD-1 might be a winner!
DbNBassist 06-12-2007, 04:04 AM Did everyone forget the Digitech Space Station?
They also made some kind of Reverb Pedal in the XP series and a Modulation i believe.
Sir Edward V 06-15-2007, 11:27 PM I'm looking into making a delay with expression control of the delay time.
I'm sure some of you guys have messed with the delay time on a delay before, it makes some cool noises. I also think some of you have thought of this idea before.
it would be uber cool
old_skool 06-16-2007, 02:26 AM Oh god...I dont know what it is about that MXR phaser. It could be that its huge and orange...or just that it could be awesome to play with but GAS is rising in a bad way.
Happynoj 06-16-2007, 06:06 AM They are limited edition. You may want to go and buy one NOW. Then tell us how awesome it is... :D
