so, is anyone else out there using a keelel modded ds-1? my dad bought this but ended up liking a marshall jackhammer i had laying around even more, so we traded and i really am impressed with the sound. with the tone knob at 9 to 10 o'clock it retains all of my bass and with the drive at zero it stil gives a warm light crunch, exactly what i want. then obviously i have a whole drive knob to turn and get more and more distortion with, but it doesnt seem to muddy up, at least to my ears. but i was just wondering if anyone else was trying this out and what they thought about it? theres no shun in using guitar distortion effects right :-p

Also try the Analog.man TS-808 modded TS9DX Turbo Tubescreamer.

Sorry if I'm plugging it so much, but hot d@mn is this an amazing pedal! :hyper: :hyper: :bassist: :bassist:

(and I guess this is more in support of using guitard FX on bass, cause that's what this is! ;))

I owned the Analog man modded Boss DS1 for awhile but it just didn't work for me on bass. Actually I didntreally like it all even when my guitar playing buddy tried it in his rig.

Oh well. The keely version could be quite different.

Bump for more opinions on this, I am still in search of a gritty distortion pedal.
