am i able to use a standard effects pedal for a bass guitar to use the metronome and programmed drumbeats?

i know there are pedals for basses and pedals for guitars, but i just have a guitar pedal and want to use the metronome. would this break the pedal or should i get a separate bass pedal for the task? my pedal is a Zoom G1x.

You can use ANY guitar pedal with bass. Some sound better than others, but a bass won't cause any damage to a pedal or any other processing device.
