Hi Everyone,

I have an '85 Tobias Basic 5 for sale in excellent condition. I bought it from a fellow TBer about a year ago and would like to keep it in the family. It's a "no frills" model, with a maple body, neck, rosewood board, and the old style electronics (which allow both active and passive modes). Not heavy (I don't have a scale) and well balanced. Includes original Tobias case in good condition. String spacing is tighter than on an MTD and scale length is 34". This is a good opportunity to own a unique bass and potential collector's item--they ain't making them anymore--at a reasonable price.

Not looking for trades at this time. I would take $1800 shipped.

I am the Tber who owned this bass, wish I could buy it back, I do miss it. It is indeed a great bass!

FS, how are you! I couldn't remember who I bought it from, so thanks for the reminder, as well as the kind words about the bass. I do like it, but I've two MTDs (a 535 and a 635) that suit me, especially the scale length and string spacing. The Basic will make someone happy, I'm sure.
