Just like to say how much I'm enjoying working my way through this book ("Building Walking Bass Lines"). I'm still fairly new to bass and always wanted to learn walking bass lines. He builds it up, adding something small each time so you make progress easily. Also the cd is great where you can isolate his bass and play along with the band yourself.

Ron Carter eat your heart out !! :D

I agree, these books have helped me considerably. I'm lucky enough to be have him as a teacher here in Austin. I'm looking to start taking lessons from him around August.
