Interesting configuration with the BA bridge and the OB-1... very 'Marcus' oriented.

Bump for what looks like a very nice one at a good price.

PS While I never have seen the spacing posted, and I don't have a good way to measure mine, it feels like the typical .75"/.19 spacing.

the ruler sez 19mm or 3/4" spacing

the ruler sez 19mm or 3/4" spacingYep, and as you can see, it's also fairly compact at the nut, so it's also comfy for fingerstyle.

Man, this is sad!!

Just as a side note, these are not "swamp ash", which is a slang term for very very light weight ash. If it were "swamp ash", the bass would probably weigh more like 9 pounds.

FWIW, Chris is VERY particular about staying true to the original 70's J bass wood formula to get that sound, and part of that sound is a nice dense piece of danish ash for the body.

He also makes INCREDIBLY stable necks. Currently, I think my CU5 is the only bass I own that I haven't had to adjust the truss rod on this spring.

That said, 11 pounds is pretty much "median" for a CU5, so this bass is dead on perfect in that respect.

Folks, the replacement cost on this bass is currently OVER $4000 (no, that's not "MSRP", that's what you'll actually have to pay), and that's IF you can find one. Typically, wait times on these is anywhere from 6-12 months, and maybe even more, depending on what you want.

This is a GOOD DEAL.

Buy my Koa Celinder 5, it's a perfect mix of your Vintages and the Updates.;)
