Where can I find one? I sent G&L an email already, and they never responded. I'll pay the right price for them. Is there a store that may have them, or does anyone know someone trying to sell some?

Buffalo Brothers in LA sells G&L parts.

Do they still have the Split pickups though? The ones on the old SB-1's.

spanky, contact G&L direct...(info on their website)...they only list the humbuckers for sale on their site...but I've heard that if you contact them, they'll sell you a P-pickup (or a J-pickup), too...

by the way...they still make SB-2's and they're the same pickups as the SB-1...

I did not know G&L would turn loose of a split P style. If so, that's cool. I recently sold one I had in a P bass and was selling the bass (with the original pu). Definitely a great substitute for ordinary split P's. I would imagine the G&L's high output could overwhelm a non-G&L in a pj setup.

I had really good luck with those guys. I think there is basically one guy who deals in G&L basses there and I think he was coming in late morning (like 11:00) and they are of course PST which makes it 2:00 or thereabouts your time...
