I have an SR5 that is just amazing. It's a '91 in transparent wine, has a maple FB, so much flame in the neck I had to fight Richard Simmons off.

This bass has indeed been loved, and played. It's experienced and growly. It doesn't want you to caress it. If you buy this bass, PLAY it and don't be afraid. B string is HUGE, and better than any other SR5 I've played (truth). Tight neck pocket. Medium low action, great for fingerstyle and slap. The truss rod works as new.

I don't know if it's just me, but these older SR5s just have something the new ones don't. It growls..

One thing you won't seen in these pics of this beautiful bass, is the beautiful tone and mojo.

Yes actually the flame is about twice as deep as that picture shows. My camera phone is over 4 years old, sorry!

I've got 3 SR-5's and only one has a maple fb and it's a flamer liike yours. It must be just a hit or miss thing with these basses.

I've got a white on white with map fb SR-5 from about that same era and it's a flamer too. Must be just a hit or miss thing with these basses. This is the BEST deal on the board.

Yeah. I've never actually had a bass with this much flame in the neck. Pretty cool. This bass has it going on.

I'll try to get some back pics.
And the overall condition is 100% functional, with player wear on the back and where you rest the arm towards the top/back of the body. There are some dings and dents. It doesn't effect anything except when you look at it up close. Lucky, the NECK has hardly dings or wear that effect it.

It shows that it's been played and loved, hence the huge price drop.
