hey guys,
well.. after a long debate...its time for me to sell my baby.
lets start off with some history. this bass was bought from bass central on the 27th of dec of last year. i paid $6100 for it. this year fodera increased their price and wait list to 3 yrs.
this bass has been gigged, but never abused. there are no cosmetic issues to this bass. case still has new bass smell.
case hass all the goodies and and no nicks on it either.

now...to the bass. here are the specs:
walnut body
ebony fingerboard
maple neck
buckeye burl top
semour duncan humcancelling humbuckers
matching pu covers
black hardware
d-tuner
chestnut heel block
mike pope 18v pre..(best versatile pre ive played)

playability:
this bass has the best fit/finish and playability ive ever owned.. to let you know i hate low action..p bass has high action. but this felt to good to raise. this bass takes to weather changes very well. made one slight neck adjustment..and i played an outside club with it the first weekend during january...30 degrees.. :bassist: bass took it like a champ!

the sound:
this bass sounds amamzing!!! the pre is my 2nd fav part of this bass...i can dial in a huge bottom with just rolling the bass knob up a bit.. and this bass has got the best jaco growl ive ever heard.. i usually use the back pu with the tone knob rolled off and dial in bass and some mids and a small amount of highs....good lord! can get the garrison/bona/grey/jackson sound soooo welll....

pre:
has bass, mids, and treble boost and cut. has a mute switch,
active/passive switch, and a single coil/dual coil switch..(humbucking)

the only reason im sellin this bass is because...i found out its just not me. i love fenders and thats probobly all ill play. trust me this bass delivers!!!

the only thing i will take for trade is a sadowsky 4. either a metro +cash or a ultra vintage + cash. not sure on a figure but we can talk about it if intersted.

also nothing in this world talks better than money...:)
i am askin $5300 shipped to the continental us. keep in mind this is a verrrryyy rare bass with a 3 yr wait list and a huge price increase!!!! only seen one other and it sold on bass central the week it was up, i know cause i called to buy it and said it was gone. bass has been played but noooo cosmetic issues at all!!! i would rather not do paypal personally to much money to loose in a transaction...:) will take a check or money order.

please give me a call if anyone is interested. i have no problem with this at all. # is 256-497-3685.

i took pics so dont be brutal...this is the prettiest bass ive ever seen in my entire life. trust me pics dont do justice.

oh yeah i have the invoice that came from bass central if yall are interested.

peace,
evan

I think that's a good decision. A Fodera will always be a very special instrument. I'm sure you'll be happy you held on to it. :)

Keep it dude, you will always regret it... Evan is my name as well, great minds do think alike. :p Your only 20 my friend, you have a lot in life ahead of you, if I could have had the chance to own half of the gear that has passed through your hands I would be fit to be tied. Keep the bass, if you had $6,000 plus to unload on that bass, I do not think a mere $2-3,000 Sadowsky would be that much of a problem for you to obtain. Take it easy, and think about it...

Peace,

I have to agree with Evan, I traded a Fodera away once... will always regret it. I LOVE my Sadowsky Metro though, and it is a fraction of the cost of the Fodera... You'll find one you like. Peace.

I think Funky Fretless is pretty happy with that USA Lakland DJ4 of his. I know it's beauty to see.:)
