Hello fellow players,
I would like to invite you all to check out some songs from my new solo bass album here: www.myspace.com/arambedrosian (http://www.myspace.com/arambedrosian).

It was recorded all with one bass, no other instruments, and no layering of multiple parts.

I hope you enjoy the songs and I would love your feedback!

Thanks so much!

Aram

Very cool music and great chops. I like it a lot. Your Ritter is amazing as well.

I dig it. And MAAAAAAN I love Ritters!!!!!

EDIT: Ok so the more I listen to this, the more I like it. You do a great job of turning challenging techniques into actual music (in my opinion), which most people who can do those techniques don't. I might have to grab this off itunes. How did you record the Ritter (direct?)? It sounds so good I would love to have one someday.

Thank you all so much for your valuable feedback!

How did you record the Ritter (direct?)?

Filling up the sonic space while giving each song a unique sound presented a very interesting challenge. Many of the album cuts were recorded purely direct; many were mixed (in different ratios) with a miked amp track using a Trace Elliot head through a Mesa Boogie 2x10.

take care and I really appreciate your ears and your questions!

Freakin' amazing man! Sounds incredible!

Sometimes that Ritter has a tone like an Ex-Factor.

Sometimes that Ritter has a tone like an Ex-Factor.

Thanks so much Zuma,

It's funny you think that because I love Ex-factors. It might be that punchy Drop D sound the Ritter gets that you're hearing. Those Ex-factors are crazy basses.. There are so many pieces of wood in the necks (if I remember correctly)

Take care thanks for your feedback!

p.s. I have some new videos floating around Youtube if you would like to see some more solo bass stuff.
