i am considering buying a double bass in the near future, i started playing one when i was 12 but i had to quit due to financial issues.

I now play electric bass guitar but i really want to go back to my roots!

Please any advice will be great, types, models, tips, etc....

thanks

Hi, im in a very similar position to yourself, only DB around 500 quid that i've found is the sentor student. About £520 from 'newcastle music' or about £475 from a shop (afraid the name escapes me) that there's a link to in the 'inexpensive basses in the uk' thread. If you spot anything else be sure and let us know!

I don't think we need to appeal to heaven to be reasonably certain about the quality. Being from a megastore, whatever the quality, it is also likely to be delivered with a poor setup. My advice: stay away from it.
