He really nailed an old Graceland piece that he, Paul Simon, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo performed. He had a really cool looking four string singecut fretless with a light colored unmarked fingerboard. He sounded great on that fretless! I felt like it was 1986 again!:D

Maybe it was it because Bakithi Khumalo has singlecut 4 and 5 string with Paul Simon. He is a awsome player..

I was flippin' around and found it. His tone was awesome. He kills on that frettless, which btw he has with him on some BPTV footage I also caught recently. (He's up close, personal, funny and he's got "that" bass with him.) The thing that really suprised me was when Stevie Wonder actually stopped "Loves me like a rock" mid tune, only to start the whole thing over. :eek: Yowzer!

I only caught a couple of cuts... bassist looked like he was playing some sort of Warwick through a DB750 and AG410 (although we were obviously hearing the direct sound). Nice playing... but Gadd.. that's what I'm talkin' about!

His fretless playing was killer! Anyone know who made his double cut 5'er? It almost looked like a Lecompte body but the headstock wasn't.

looked like a f-bass 5er and a warrior isabella 5 string fretless. he sounded great though.

I was babysitting last night for friends and watched that too! Enjoyed it. Enjoyed Lyle Lovett's rendition of 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.
