TI's, my first set of flat wounds Installed and tested.... I like em very much, but what's up with the way your finger tips get friction jerked over the string surface? I even tried a little more finger ease and fret lube. Any suggestions welcome.

I had that problem when I first tried flatwounds, which were Ernie Balls. In that case, the tackiness wore off after awhile, and they're fine now. But it really did bug me at first. You could probably wipe them down with a dry cloth to get some of the tackiness off. I didn't experience this with D'Addario Chromes or GHS Precision flats. The GHS are especially comfy.

I use LaBella 760FL's, that's never happened to me...

I too use Labella and have tried TI flats. Out of the package the Labellas are smoother. I think Nedmundo has it right - new TIs have a dull finish that wears off with play.

that lasts for a couple days with the TI Flats. I agree its annoying, but it will go away fairly quickly with play time.

Not sure what finger ease is or does, but i've tended to just play them and the stickiness goes away on its own.

After they get fully broken in, you will love them My favorite strings for sure -- considering I have them on 6 basses. :)
