On Hold (pending payment) for rodneyat !

I've had three or four of these and have kept the one in best shape (mint) until now. I really need to sell some gear to pay for my son's upright and a sub-woofer I bought for my band.

Most of you know the head. It's essentially a SWR SM-900 with a bunch of effects (real tube over drive, synth, sub wave generator, chorus, extra EQ section, etc). This is a pre-Fender head. These went for around $1999 MSRP new link--> http://www.musiciansnews.com/bass/31/mobass_mo_bass_amp_head_900_watt.shtml !!!. If you run it in stereo, and run the amps at 2 ohms, this baby puts out up 1200 watts!!!!!

I also have both the small, single internal bypass pdeal and the larger foot controller. The Small one sold for $69 new and the larger one sold for $300 new.

So that's about $2300 worth of head !!!!!!!!!!! :smug:

Anyway, it's in MINT shape and fully funtional, includes cables. All knobs, etc are intact and work 100%. A couple of very minor rack scratches on the underside, but sides and top are scract free!!! I had another one of these with only one foot controller also that I sold on Ebay earlier this year for over $1100, so I know I could get at least $1000 on Ebay. I'll post pics and specs later but I'm asking $850 for it (+shipping). Mo's don't go up for sale often are very hard to come by and one with 2 foot controllers is even tougher to come by. I saw a used foot controller sell for over $400 alone on Ebay some months back.

Oh, as a bonus, I have a complete set of schematics and manuals for the head and the foot pedal. I'm talking schematics and parts lists on every single circuit board, resistor, capacitor, etc, etc for both the head and footswitch. Try and get your hands on those now somewhere else (not happening!)!!!!

I'm hoping to put this in a TBers hands before I go the Ebay route. Sure I can make a couple hundred more there, but she belongs here on TB!

Again, have to run out for the day, but will post pics of this mint baby later.

With so many new effects processors, bass cabs, 15-string instruments, and other bottom-heavy baubles, you might forgive a bass player for a short attention span these days. But judging from the buzz at the SWR Engineering booth, the Mo' Bass head had enough going on to stop gaggles of bassists -- who hung around patiently to play it themselves, or just to keep listening to its colon-quaking, deep thunk.

Leave the synth behind on your next tour -- SWR's Mo' Bass brings the world of phat analog synthesis to the fretboard.
An early prototype of the Mo' Bass was shown at last January's Winter NAMM show, but the final production version, on display here at Summer NAMM, has been buffed with an expression pedal input and other electronic improvements. The company expects the unit to ship in September.

The Mo' Bass promises to be a tweaker's delight. Sure, the onboard tube limiter, tube overdrive, and chorus processors are cool. SWR's real innovation, however, was to include a "subwave" (subharmonic) octave generator and a waveform-tracking bass synthesizer, putting bassists on a level playing field with their sinister-handed keyboard bandmates. Sole-tingling lows and classically phat analog synth tones -- conjured with filter, resonance, and bass/synth blend controls -- define the Mo' Bass's tone. We were also impressed to hear Moog-like filter sweeps controlled by a standard expression pedal.

Judged solely on its two - bridgeable 450-watt power amps (900 watts total), 12AX7-driven tube preamp, dual 3-band EQ sections, external/internal effects bypass switches, MIDI/tuner/Speakon cable outs, and sidechain stereo effects bus merits, Mo' Bass is a worthy contender. Add the synth and the subharmonic generator, and the $1,999 price tag looks even mo' bettah.

The larger pedal looks just like the one pictured below.

Info on Pedal:

Mo' Control is a pedalboard-style footswitch that lets the Mo' Bass user switch between various effects. There are individual on/off controls for each effect, including Drive, SubWave, Bassynth, Mo' EQ, Chorus, and Dual Mode. Four preset banks allow the user to store any combination of Mo' Bass effects and switch back and forth between those presets, as well as add or subtract any effect from the currently selected preset. Mo' Control's bypass switch lets the user bypass the effects entirely.

SWR MoBass Description and Specs:

Introducing the SWR Mo’ Bass, the first bass head with on-board studio quality analog effects. Quad,

You are flat out nuts. And I wish I had the dough to take advantage of your nuttiness.

I'm going to start really worrying about the economy if this is still here by tonight.

AHHHHH! My head's going to explode if someone doesn't buy this--if only to hold onto it for me for a few weeks. :)

I would, but I need to move some other items before I make any purchases.
