FURTHER PRICE ADJUSTMENT: in wake of inquiries while I've been gone on vacation, I'm adjusting the offer as follows:
East of the Mississippi - $660 including shipping and paypal fees.
West of the Mississippi - $650 including shipping and paypal fees.
This black Epihpone Jack Casady bass is in excellent condition; never gigged, and better than mint as the electronics have been lightly upgraded by Dave Neely (www.neelyguitars.com) to eliminate pot noise and add a bit more taper on the volume and tone controls, and the gloss finish on back of the neck has been abraided to a satin texture that doesn't stick when you're flying up the neck. Set up is medium low, and current DR Sunbeam strings have very little use. If you're not familiar with these, do the websearch homework, where you'll see the high regard with which these are held for their exceptional tone, which relates to an onboard transformer. This was purchased new and is not a second, although over time there is some discoloration under the headstock...but there is none of the peeling along the neck/fingerboard that often appears on seconds. Includes bespoke hard case, also in mint condition. I love the sound but have bought a new trombone, so a bass must leave the Island!
Price - see above...
-- yeah, you might get a new one without case for $699 from the usual internet suspects, but it won't have the set-up, modification/upgrades and quality strings, and you're at risk for the scratchy pots that all-too-often come with these otherwise-fine axes!
