had a request for some of my REALLY OLD attempts at a Jazz bass.

lost the e-mail, so i thought i'd share here and point him to the thread.

kinda fun to go over my old stuff.

this spins off from the CNC thread too.

nice things about the 3D CAD app i use:

1. trouble shoot the feature relationships in 3D.
2. export to CNC.
3. create working drawings and templates full scale.
4. mass property analysis, CG, weight, interference checks.
5. easily create design variations (see last image).

it goes on.

looks dang cool too. remember, these renderings are from YEARS AGO. i've improved a lot since then (i hope).

here's a 2D JPG conversion of the CAD drawing created from the 3D model.

not perfect, for example the neck pocket is straight.

but, an example of the possibilities of 3D.

i removed it because it is sooooooooooo big (she said).

i can e-mail a jpg or pdf if anyone wants.
