It's definitely not Walnut and it looks exactly like you're standard, run of the mill bolt-on Thumb. It's a consignment item being sold as-is - so it could be anyone's guess if it actually works or not. Price still seems to be a good deal though as long as it's working.

Only way this could not be a good deal is if its not been waxed for a very long time, the wood could be cracking. Which could very well happen if he thinks that it is walnut.
