I read the stickies but it didn't answer all my questions.

Firstly, In place of a bandsaw, could i use a scrollsaw? This way i don't have to go out and find a bandsaw.

For the route for the truss rod/pickups, What kind of bit should i use? would one of These (http://www.bosstoolsupply.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=1079)work?

Thanks for th ehelp

firstly, you could use a scroll saw, as long as it has enough throat, and throw to accomodate the thickness.

Secondly, you need a 1/4" straight bit for most truss rod channels. Unless you go with Stew Mac Hot Rods, then you will need to get the bit the sell which is .225

also for pickups might I advise the use of a bearing bit, with the bearing on top for following templates. StewMac also sells these
