G'day all.

I think I might have let down my gigbag a bit too hard on the concrete today, as a small section of paint near the butt edge off the body has chipped right away to wood.

Around the edge of the chip-off there looks to be more ready to come off at any stage, so I'm wondering if I should just leave it alone, or sand it smooth to make sure more doesn't chip off more paint from the same spot?

Thanks!

If you're not concerned with cosmetic appearance, I would recommend flooding a little CA glue onto the chipped area so that it flows under the paint that's lifting around the ding. This will stabilize the paint around the chip and allow you to sand it smooth. Use a little clear lacquer or sanding sealer to protect any bare wood that's exposed. G'day and good luck!
