I want to try this out and see how it goes, how should I tune it, I know to tune them in 5ths, but what should I tune the E string too and so on? Thanks a lot. Nate M

Nate M Christopher 01-11-2002, 11:39 PM Do this: C (110-125 gauge) G (90-95 gauge) D (80 gauge) A (35-40 gauge) It's pretty cool. neptoon 01-11-2002, 11:47 PM i tried this with my warwick thumb once...it's really cool. it allows you to play some pretty large intervals without all the stretch...i would go for a .060 guage string with the d, though...i think that's what you meant ;) Christopher 01-12-2002, 12:16 AM Yeah, a typo. Wouldn't want anyone messing up their neck. neptoon 01-12-2002, 12:29 AM right on....i knew what you meant, man....a really neato tuning, though Peter McFerrin 01-12-2002, 12:38 PM I used to tune my guitar in New Standard Tuning, CGDAEG (I'm a big King Crimson fan). Hearing some of those chords is the coolest thing ever--the voicings are so beautifully wide... |
