Anyone know if Tru Oil will adequately dry and form a topcoat over a decal that has been sprayed with sealer? My neck has already been given about 4 coats of TO and the headstock is now sealed smooth for the decal - just want to make sure I can successfully build another layer or two on top.

You can do it, but if you want the decal lines to disappear, you will need more than one or two more coats. You will need several more. Tru-Oil builds nicely, and you will be able to level it out on top of a decal.
Once I tru-oiled a maple Fender Strat neck right over the satin poly finish. It gave it a nice amber glossy look, almost like vintage lacquer. Less work, less health hazard, and fairly durable.

I was thinkin' about ordering a mighty mite neck. They come with a clear satin lacquer finish. Would it be possible to run a couple coats of truoil over this to give the neck a vintage look? Or would the entire neck need to be sanded?
Thanks,
Steve
