hey, all,
one of our bestest players in the area needs our support:

Body: From: jason
Date: Sep 16, 2007 7:45 PM

Chris was in a horrible car accident as his tire blew out on the way to a gig in Indy a couple of nights ago.. I have no details besides he is badly hurt. Chris Walker can normally be seen playing in one of his 10 bands. I have always been amazed by his diversity and commitment to doing practically nothing but music. All support is encouraged and welcomed, just dont blow up anyones phone. He is such a strong cat .. and has a lot of fight and recovery ahead of him .. so please keep him in Your Prayers,.. it helps, no doubt.

send flowers, gifts, cards and LOVE to
Chris and the Walker family

Chris is a great guy and a wonderful player. I heard today from one of his best friends that he is indeed badly hurt, and needs our thoughts and prayers.

here's the newest:

I'm sure many of you had heard about our dear friend and fellow musician Chris Walker. As he was driving to Indy for a show, his truck blew a tire, he lost control and rolled several times. Unfortunately the woman riding with him did not survive the crash. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Chris is battling terrible injuries from his accident.

His injuries are severe and the prognosis is that, at this point, he's lost the use of his body from the chest down. He broke his right wrist and left elbow and the surgeons are working to stabilize those. There's no head or brain injury so we can all be thankful. He was alert and giving out contact information at the accident seen.

The medical staff is confident in his strength to get through any more surgeries and what will be a long rehabilitation. Chris will need US to do all we can to support him. I know that ALL of us love him very much and admired all he's done for us as friends, musicians, listeners and Fans!

As I know more - I'll post. Fee free to contact me for support or information. We're already in the process of organizing benefits and support events to assist Chris' family to help out financially. Folks who have worked a lot with Chris - let's try to communicate and centralize a plan to help out the family.

If you're planning to send balloons and cards, Chris is at:

God Bless all of you.
