I'm putting one of my USA Steinberger XQ-2A's up for sale. This one has the "Honeyburst" transparent finish (which to me looks sort of like a Tobacco Burst in person). This model has two EMG HB-CS pickups in an 18-volt setup with 2-band active EQ and pickup blend knob, as well as a graphite neck. Unlike the original Steinbergers, this model also has a truss rod for tweaking the action.
Unlike the Spirit models, the XQ's sound reasonably similar to the original L/XL Steinbergers. The neck profile on these is also not quite as chunky as the original L and XL's. If you want that sound but don't like the "shoebox" body and/or don't want to pay $2G+ for an '80s Steinberger on eBay, these are a viable alternative.
This was purchased as a "Scratch and Dent" from MusicYo earlier this year, but I haven't found any noticable flaws anywhere on the bass. I bought it as a backup to my other XQ for gigging purposes but it has only been out of its case two or three times to take a few PR photos. Never gigged.

Comes with Steinberger hard case in like-new condition and the original allen wrenches. I never got around to registering this one with Steinberger (which you can do online via a link at MusicYo), so you can register for the warranty in your name.
