So I'm sitting here listening to this amazing song, a bit stoned I admit, and I can't help notice that the popular hit Hotel California - The Eagles sounds A LOT like this song...just less good.

Also, the song Budgie - Rocking Man... Doesn't that bass line sound almost note for note like Kiss - 100,000 Years??

Anyone ever notice this? Or am I delusional?

Yep. It's got drums, bass and guitars. And chord changes. All in all a blatant rip off :D

Seriously, there's not much similarity except one chord change as far as I can tell.

Listening right now...

I get a very very slight vibe of what you are saying... I never would have got that vibe had you not pointed it out. The bass/drum interaction has that same kind of rock ballad samba vibe with a SOMEWHAT similar chord progression

Side note: I ****in' love Budgie
Side note II: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcAa-rnulkw
Side note III: There is profanity in side note II
Side note IV: There is technically profanity in side note I as well.
Side note V: ****

Which Budgie albums should I get? I hear they are awesome

IMHO, the first 3 albums are awesome rock n roll material, while the other albums fit more into the hard rock category.

Definitely get: Budgie - Budgie, Budgie - Never Turn Your Back On A Friend and Budgie - Squawk. These three really made me discover and love Budgie. If you want a great hard rock album, In For The Kill is pretty great IMHO.

Love the avatar btw, Camel rules :D
