Thanks! Howard MonetBass 10-17-2007, 12:46 PM I looked for those when I had the same problem, but without success. I wound up just buying a new bridge and taking one of the height screws from it. So if it happens again, I have more. Not to mention saddles and intonation screws. Dan Knowlton 10-17-2007, 02:21 PM I've seen screws like them at good hobby shops. Never had to replace mine, though. Dan K. tjclem 10-17-2007, 02:29 PM Try a hobby shop that handles RC cars Jimbob Jones 10-17-2007, 05:31 PM Over here in England they're called "grub screws" They seem to be readily available, just make sure you get the right thread size! As long as your bass isn't a scary 1960-1980 Japanese model, it should be standard :D http://www.ondrives.com/products.asp?recnumber=799 http://www.rctek.com/fixings/info_fixings_grub_screws.html T2W 10-17-2007, 06:35 PM ever heard of spaenaur? www.spaenaur.com, those screws you talk about are called set screws. Good luck. pilotjones 10-17-2007, 08:40 PM A well-stocked hardware store should have setscrews, although not necessarily in the finish (e.g. chrome) that you're looking for. And, if its the saddles that are stripped and the screws are fine, you're out of luck. keyboardguy 10-18-2007, 12:12 AM Hard to find in hardware stores. Just go to your local music store and they should have some.... Mike |
