Been working on learning this jaco groove for the past couple days and it's still a rough /incomplete, but I felt like trying out the direct out on my new WT-550. Tell me what you think.

Great playing! The tone is almost too clean. Not in a "dry" way, in fact the direct out sounds great for being straight from the head. Your playing needs more grit. Start playing more wrong notes :D. jk

Keep up the good work.

Nice stuff man. I love that groove! I like how you put in that right hand slide down the neck, was wondering if you'd put that in :)

thanks man, it's an 2003 Warwick Thumb 5 string bolt on. I picked it up in August, and love it!

Reminds me alot of the bassline for the Sanford and Son theme. Especially around 19 seconds. Sounds good. :)

That sounds really nice! For some reason my Thumb 5 BO just doesn't seem to sound that good. Does it still have the stock pickups and preamp? What kind of strings are you using?

I bought it used, but as far as I can tell it's still stock in all regards. I actually haven't even changed the strings on it (no clue how old they are) and I don't know bass accessories well enough to be able to tell you what the originals are.
