I've got this around the bridge pickup on my jazz bass:

How can this be repaired? Also, what do you recommend for respraying once it's repaired?

If you really want it fixed, I would take everything off, fill it with epoxy or something and have it repainted. For how small that is, I would just leave it. There is just too much hassle and cost involved for something so small.
