no idea what your running gear wise but I would say play with a pick and play hardand boost your mids and trebles

Yup, lots of mids, play with a pick near the bridge.

terror and bane are different tones but same style bass.

on the good terror records he is using a music man stingray. highs and mids boosted. he plays hard as well. i think he uses a sans amp to help out. i know when i used a sans amp/music man rig it was clank city. almost too much!
i'm also assuming you are talking about everything before always the hard way. the new guy used some esp bs. doesnt soud as good as the first two records. you can also hear similar bass tonws in some blacklisted live video's.

the guy from bane usually uses an ibanez atk. i haven't seen them in ateast 2 yearsbut it is the same idea as a music man but he plays A LOT of chords to fatten up his tone. lots of mids and bass, not a lot of highs. his best bass tone was on holding this moment.

I would suggest, after EQing, a Rat or Turbo Rat pedal

Crank that gain, crank that treble, play near the bridge, and dig in brother!
