Hi all,
Has anyone tried a Pirastro Chorda G & D and an Evah Pirazzi E & A ?
Any thoughts? They are going onto a bluegrass Ply Bass.
Thanks,
Candyman

Might be tough finding someone with that combo, kinda unusual. Then again, this is Talkbass... stranger things have happened. A few of us can speak about the characteristics of the Evah E&A.
If you want to talk to someone about the pizz qualities of Chordas, you could contact Ben Wolfe. He's been using them for quite awhile, and he's a good guy who doesn't mind answering questions about stuff like that.

I find the Chorda G to be a very good string.
I think that if you are going to spend the $100 on a Chorda D, you would be better off with a Gamut Lyon D. The Chorda D sounds dead in comparison and the Gamut has a more defined pitch.
