Call an insurance broker...

Some home-owners policies cover items on your HOP out side of the home...

easiest way is to add a rider to your homeowners/renters insurance. depending on how much money you're making you may need to add a small business rider. Talk to your broker, he/she will provide you with all the information you'll need to make a decision. Stick with the company that provides your homeowners/renters/auto insurance.

My experience has been that your baisic home insurance companies won't do much for you. Especially if an accident happens or something is stolen in a place where there is alcohol. I was told it is more for symphony players and teachers, not bar musicians. I have a rider with all of my gigging equipment so I at least have a chance in case something happens.

Do a TB search on the subject. I vaguely remember reading on TB that the International Society of Bassists offers good insurance policies. Here is their website: http://www.isbworldoffice.com/

Good luck...
