I just picked up the Bryan Duncan disc "Joyride" with Jackie Street on bass.
A lot of tracks sound like Steely Dan, Sting and Tower of Power. And this is a Christian artist.
Anyway, I was told that it was Jackie Street playing on it.
Smokin' disc and a smokin' player.
Anyone know of any other stuff he played on???

I'm almost positive Jackie was the studio bassist on an album or two of a woman I toured with back in the early 80's. Of course, her music was not quite as smokin' as Bryan's.

Jackie indeed was amazing on that Bryan Duncan record.
Last night about 7:30pm Jackie went home to be with the Lord. He passed in a Nashville hospital after collapsing in his home Saturday.
He was not only one of the best bass players the world has known, but an amazing person. He will be missed.

+1. Great player. Well, now he has the opportunity to play in the best band of all eternity. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.

Jackie Street played on several albums by 4Him, DC Talk's "Jesus Freak", Alvin Slaughter, Alicia Williamson, and tons of other Christian artists (especially '90s).
He's incredible. He doesn't promote himself too much so it's hard to track what he is doing.
