well not sure if this is great or not, but its cool anyway. too bad the audience didnt seem very much into poor Jason as he dishes out some meaty slabs of abuse to his alembic spoiler :(

This clip is from quite some time ago.
Don't know who he is and what he has done to his bass. But one thing is for sure: He's done a wonderfull job there:

John Frusciante, guitarist for rhcp plays bass while fleas on trumpet. Its tastefully simplistic.

A lot of things are going on in that video, but Ralphe Armstrong's bass groove is the best part of that video for me.

Gene Simmons is living proof that you don't really have to be a good musician to be successful. You just have to be good at marketing and showmanship. And he is a master at both.

Here are a couple of my favorites:

Alex from the U.K. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVcIDknLFVs He has some great videos/jams

Buddy Hankerson : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rek3g8znpOg Just plain sickness!

Matt G "goofing" around at the Epifani Shop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe7vyvyzOKg

The mighty Gary Willis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufMhW4ia1U8

Like I said these are only a few of my favorites. There is so much good material out there these days on YouTube.
