There are some modeling pedals (e.g. Line6 mod pro) that supposedly do the job well enough for playing around with. To get the sound otherwise requires a smooth fuzz (e.g. like a Fuzz Face, not like a cranked Blowtorch) run into a phaser that has a very deep phase sweep. To the best of my knowledge no-one has specifically confirmed any particular phasers are "just right" for copying the Jet Phaser sound, but a couple of the theoretical top contenders are the Maxon PH-350 and the really fancy one from Toadworks. And again, they would have to be combined with a smooth fuzz to get the Jet Phaser sound as Larry uses it. assboglin 11-10-2007, 01:19 PM Note that he uses the Juggernaut with the Jet Phase to get that sound. And I owned a Roland Jet Phaser and I haven't come across anything else like it. |
