Barkless Dog 11-10-2007, 08:20 AM I just discovered there music - amazing original music, which is hard to do in this day & age Great musicians too- j-raj 11-10-2007, 08:57 AM Very creative and solid musicians... also reminds me of Zorn and Naked City. http://www.skingraftrecords.com/graphics/photogalleries/melt_banana_pics/mb10.jpg Lagaupia 11-10-2007, 09:34 AM Just saw them last night with Daughters... She was using a hartke ha3500 head, Ampeg 8x10" and a Warwick 4 String. She also had some pedals but i couldnt make out what they were. Great show! Barkless Dog 11-12-2007, 09:00 AM I put Melt Banana in with Minutemen & Captain Beefheart, as creating their own unique, unmistakable music/noise rock that tests friendships and can clear out a party. Put on one of the above bands a see who your friends really are? nickbear 11-13-2007, 04:30 PM i love melt banana, ive been into them for a while and saw them last year. the bassist has great tone and she used a similar setup to what lagaupia said. if you like melt banana check out the locust, boredoms, ex models, daughters, lightning bolt, captain beefheart, mkclusky, nervous kid.. they are all quite different but all very original, different stuff Lagaupia 11-13-2007, 06:04 PM Nickbear, daughters fan? I worked with nick the guitar player for a couple of years... Lightning bolt is also from my town! nickbear 11-14-2007, 11:51 AM Lagaupia, man thats really cool! im a big daughters fan and lightning bolt amaze me everytime i see them, they really need to be seen live to fully appreciated! jim primate 11-16-2007, 03:20 AM i think it's an svt and 8x10 and attack. maybe a signal boost to drive the amp harder. |
