I have 2 early 80s USA Made Kramer Pioneer Series Jazz basses for sale. These were their version of the Super Jazz.
One Black w/maple board and one White (aged to a cream) w/rosewood board. Both have double jazz pickups (similar to Dualcoils).
The white one is serial #ed B2853 and is all original with gold hardware. $200
The Black one is serial #ed B4817 and has been upgraded with all chrome hardware including a Badass II bridge, all Hipshot tuners, a Hipshot Dtuner, chrome control plate and knobs. It also comes with the original Gold hardware. $350
Buyer pays shipping. PM me your email address for photos.

Wow, if the cream one had a maple board, I'd think it was my first bass.

These are great basses! Good luck with the sale.

Marshall

[Edit: seeing the pictures now, it's actually very different from my first (which now I remember was P/JJ and had no control plate), but good luck anyways.]

Flashback! My first bass (22 years ago) was a black Pioneer JJ just like the one on the left (with original gold hardware). Played well and got a beefy sound from those big ol' pickups. Billy Sheehan had one that substituted a P pickup for the neck humbucker.

Never seen one (let alone two) of these for sale. These are from the golden age of Japanese-made Kramers, using Schaller bridges, pickups, and tuners. My brother had an excellent Kramer Focus 1000 from this same era. Good luck!

These are pre-Japanese Kramer era, when they were still made in America. They both have Made In The USA on the neck plates. The original gold hardware is included with the black one as well.

What's the headstock look like on these? Is it the hockey stick?

Here's the white one, note the flamey headstock & neck. There is a crack as you can see. I took it to be repaired but my tech says that it has no affect on the playability of the bass and that it would just make it look worse. Bass plays and sounds great but I have priced it lower because of the crack.

Those Schaller JJ's are real nice. I have a Focus 7000 which is a P/JJ

Still available. Awesome 80s. The double, double J sound huge as well. Much like the Dual coils of today but passive.

Back up for sale, the black one has all original hardware back on it (all upgraded chrome hardware is being used elsewhere or sold seperately) and the white one has all original hardware with the exception of a chrome Fender bridge. I couldn't go in and edit the original posts.

Kramer USAs are incredibly well built instruments. I had one for a while, they hold their own even 30 years later.

Well I got kicked off of Ebay for some reason. I asked them for an explaination because they claimed that I was abusing them. Maybe because I posted that I didn't accept Paypal.
