tomorrow night there is a charity event at school that I'm playing at. There will be around 350+ people there. I'm soo stoked and soo nervous at the same time. I'm playing a duo of bob dylans 'knocking on heavens door' where I'm singing backup vocals, So i'm prettty nervous bout singing.
Because this is a charity event, I am not allowed to cover my face like I normally do, becuase I am terribly paranoid and hate having people look at me, So I am pretty uh..nervous about this.
So, wish me luck folks! I might be able to get some pics maybe a vid even:bassist:

Hey, you'll be fine. Just focus on your playing and you'll relax soon enough. I personally feel more at home in front of big crowds, but I can remember when I was just starting to gig and feeling very scared about playing in front of people I knew. Odds are, if you do well, people will be patting you on the back for this one for a long while.

At hte time, if you dont feel confident with doing the backup singing then, concentrate more on the bass. You'll be fine though

and what do you cover your face with? Ive actually heard of lots of people doing this. It does help some people with stage fright.

Becuase this event is a charity one, the dress is slightly formal (Dress shirt, dress pants), It would appear 'unprofessional' to cover up my face, becuase I have severe stage fright. So, becuase of this, I am quite nervous. this will be my first time doing backup vocals, So that makes me a bit more nervous.
We had a rehearsal of it an hour ago, I'm pretty confident I can do it though.Its just the 350people watching that makes me kinda nervous.
To answer the face covering question, I have a variety of things to cover my face. masks, large novelty mustaches, large noses, etc. Depends on what im playing and who with..
