only in context of a full group, not really soloist, but more the best all around bass sound that fits well into most typical ensemble situations.

If the YouTube clip, above, is representative of Pino's tone, I'd select Pino or Jamerson in a group context from the choices offered. Although the group and kind of music they are playing cannot be ignored, I see Jaco and Wooten as having distinct sounds that may not fit in as wide a variety of contexts.

Pino. Why? he has a ton of different sounds to choose, he just plays them.

Of course, Jamerson it's a close second.

Jaco and Wooten are great, but as it has been said, they can't fit every style.

His tone fits in many styles of music.
Jaco had a killer "live' tone.
