Hi Folks,
I have a Oscar Schmidt OEB-3 Precision Style bass for sale.
Serial # 02188
I believe this was made in the 80's or 90's and is no longer available
Black with a maple neck & fingerboard(this model does not have a pickguard on it)
Only weighs 7 lbs 6 ounces!!!
I believe the body to be basswood or poplar
34 inch scale
20 frets
Chrome hardware including Gotoh Style mini tuners
This bass was completely gone through and this is what was done.....
Pickup and control cavity shielded with conductive paint
Dimarzio Will Power P Bass Pickup professionally installed
http://www.dimarzio.com
CTS 500 K Pot on vol,CTS 250 K on tone,Switchcraft jack .050 capacitor on the tone control
The frets have been leveled, recrowned and polished.
The nut was re-cut for better action
Set up and completely intonated with medium low action and D'addario XL Pro Steels 45-105
The bass is in good condition & has a fair number of scratches, dings and dents, none of which affect playability....
This is a PLAYERS BASS and sounds fantastic!
Oscar Schmidt Basses were played by Carol Kaye and if they are good enough for her they are good enough for anyone! :)
I prefer payment via USPS Postal Money Order sent via USPS Priority Mail, but if you must use paypal the email address to use is listed below.....
Thanks For Looking!
