Christmas daunt - I will lower the price to 2800.00 EUR for the next 5 days! If that will not bring any interest I might take the CELINDER's FUNK MACHINE off from the market!
So, 2800.00 EUR

Hi! My rare Celinder Update 5 is for sale. This bass is absolutely the best funk machine out there! One of the best sounding basses ever made! The reason why I want to sell it is very simple - I ordered my third W&T custom 5 string (fodera like) and I need to fund it.
It has 1 7/8" nut width and 19 mm string spacing at bridge.
It has been upgraded with John East's U-Retro.
This bass has THE BEST 70's Jazz Bass sound you can think of! Period!!!

I'll take 3000 € plus shipping.
I'm ready to ship it to other continents as well but it costs a lot!
Thanks!
Margus :bassist:

It has 35" scale. And there's the same bass on the added picture.

Sorry, but why rare?

Thanks for your question! :)
Celinders are always rare, there aren't too many of them on the market. It takes almost two years to order a new one and you can't order them straight from the Celinder, you have to find a dealer first.
This particular bass has pickups with no dog ears and it sounds better than other Celinders I've tried.
Otherwise it's a classic Update 5.

Just for additional information... I traded my Sadowsky RV5 for this Celinder and payed an extra USD1000. I have to say that Celinder felt and sounded so much better. I haven't regret this trade for a second.

So, all of you looking for your first or next Sadowsky, forget about the hype and get a real FUNK MACHINE!

Hi

With all due respect, I did the opposite, Lost my Celinder, got more Sadowsky's. "Dont Believe the Hype"(Chuck D., Public Enemy)

Congratulations! Everybody deserves to have his favourite bass! I also liked my Sadowsky but this Celinder smoked it out. There's something special in that particular bass.

Oh, I see... Maybe I was confused with them being rare because I have 2 of them... These basses blow anything out of the water, indeed.

Have both. Love each of their sounds. The Celinder is a bit on the heavy side.

Yeah, it's all about physics. Heavier bass gives you more low end. This one isn't too bad, I've been playing it on stage for hours and can't say anything bad. Of course, Sadowsky US models are a bit lighter but the Celinder's sound is out of this world. If you use good strap there shouldn't be any problems with it's weight. I guess it's about 10-11 lbs. or so.

Hey, I'll take the Celinder back from the market on Wednesday when I'll be back from my trip. If you'll buy it until Wednesday, it could become yours, otherwise it will stay with me.

I just came from a gig with my Nordy vJ5 which is extremely good bass. But in the rehearsal room I tried my Celinder Update 5 and I enjoyed it's sound so much that I decided to keep it. Amazing instrument!!!
