Hi,

I was at a gig this summer, and the guitarist liked me, and asked for my number because his band doesn't have a bassist. I said sure, and gave him my cell phone number. He said, i'll call u. 3 Months and he hasnt' called. I'm kinda pissed that he never called, but O well. I'm not that into starting my own band, cause none of my friends play instruments (except for one who plays bass, and we're thinking about making a band with two bass players). A two bass player band is good, but not with no guiarist/drummer/singer. So ya...

If he was smart enough to dial a cell phone he'd have been a bass player instead of a guitar player.

Always get their number too.. If they weren't smart enough to answer a phone, they'd have played drums instead of guitar.

people always say theyll call and never do. it doesnt really warrant getting too bothered about.

It doesn't necessarily mean hes forgotten you - just that other stuff is happening, you don' t know about (maybe he got kicked out the band, maybe they found a GREAT bass player). Don't sweat it, and maybe one day something will come of it. Getting seen and noticed is all for the good. A guitarist took 2 years to get back to me... when he did it was a great gig. He'd just taken a long time to line up everything else.

On the other hand he may have lost your number and/or forgotten you. It wouldn't hurt to drop in on one of his gigs, and just say hi, so he's thinking about you again.
