VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Couldn't get G&L to answer (the phone)

I have tried for two days to get a 'human' at G&L to answer several questions about Tribbies. No such luck. Messages left but no calls returned. Maybe it's the holidays-sure do hope so.

Anyway, someone here will probably know this-

Does the Tribute SB-2 have the bi-laminated neck structure of the US model? Is the truss rod system the same? If not, how so? Have the pots improved from the earlier versions (bandmate has a Legacy and its pots were atrocious)? Other than the cast vs machined saddles, is there any difference between the US and Tribute bridge?

I am finding my tonal tastes changing somewhat. I have been playing and digging my old Dyna Unity Koa P/J with TI flats in passive mode and feel that an SB-2 might really fit well.

Tribute necks are all one piece rock maple. No bi-laminating. Standard headstock access truss-rod. Mighty-Mite pots (still current anybody else?) seem pretty good (you can always swap them out if they suck anyhoo). Bridges appear to be totally identical save the difference you already pointed out.

You might be better off ringing the Cort factory in Indonesia where they make the Tributes now ;)

They responded to my e-mails within hours. So I would try that again.

I need to post that I DID finally speak to a human at G&L and they graciously took the time to answer all of my questions.
