**REDUCED PRICE - SEE BELOW PICTURES**
This is the lowest it will go.
----------------------------------------------------
I posted this bass for sale a while ago and got cold feet.
It is now back and must sell!
I will probably regret for the rest of my life selling it but life is calling...

This bass is in absolutely MINT condition.
I cannot say it is new because I own it almost a year, but you won't even notice it has been used.
I bought it BRAND NEW January this year, I am the first and original owner.

The body is a light swamp ash with black accents and a beautiful hand-picked buckeye top.
The neck is a standard F 22-fret 3 piece quartersawn maple with highly figured birdseye maple fingerboard, matching headstock and heel.
This bass has a natural compressed sound, very punchy and clear.
It is great both for slapping, fingerstyle, and with its versatile EQ you can get whatever sound you dream of.

Never been gigged, never rehersed! Used only at home (smoke-free). It has no dings, nicks, scratches whatsoever. It is 100% clean!

The photos are the ones taken by the store I bought it from. These are photos of the actual bass, but not taken by me at home. If you need any specific zoom-in please PM me and I will do my best to provide.

This bass lists with George at around $7000 (check his price list)
Asking: $3,399 (was $3,600).
The bass comes with the original F-Bass cordura gig bag, and I will throw in an extra leather strap.

Shipping: Will ship FedEx International Priority only, fully insured. Will split shipping cost with buyer.

Payment: I prefer wire-transfer to my U.S. based bank account. Otherwise Paypal may work. Once you decide buying PM me and we work this out.

I looked the photos over VERY carefully ... 'cause I could SWEAR this one had my name on it! [laughing]

This really is a gorgeous bass; I can't imagine selling it.

As a VERY happy owner of an F Bass BN5 (albeit not quite as pretty as yours), i'll have to pass, but I couldn't pass without commenting on how very pretty this bass is. George sure does great work.

I played this bass when it was at G-Guitars. I must say this is one of the basses that really haunted me. It played and sounded amazing. If I only had the money.....:crying:

That price is right around what a standard BN5 would cost about now. With that top and fretboard this is a really good deal! IMO

If you mean the standard price for a NEW BN5, that is correct. However, the used prices for most basses take a plunge once they leave the shop. I believe that the price for a standard BN5 (ash with no fancy top) preowned is $1900-$2000. This was confirmed to me by a reputable shop as well.

Yes, I meant the price of a new standard BN5. Decked out like this one I can't really guess what it would cost new. Way more than I have anyway! :)

Another bump.

A new standard BN5. This is definitely not standard.

I never said that this particular BN5 was standard, as is patently obvious from its configuration and from the fact that my post had said that the preowned price for "a standard BN5 (ash with no fancy top)" was $1900-2000.

Maurice, you are killing me dead. Speak to us of the controls.

:p:p:p:p:p

Here are the controls description directly from Furlanetto's web site:

The knobs closest to the strings are: volume for the neck pickup, volume for the bridge pickup, and passive tone control.
The three knobs further away from the strings are the active 3-band eq circuit. They are: bass boost, mid boost, and treble boost.
Pull up on the passive tone control to disable the active eq and the active circuit will be completely bypassed. Pull up on the bridge pickup volume control to engage a coil tap for both pickups, offering a louder and fuller tone, but which will sacrifice noise canceling.

I printed a big photo of the bass and left it where my wife would see it. She tracked me down in my practice room after seeing it and asked, "So, do you like that bass with that mold all over the top?" I think she likes it, but it'll take more research.
