I need to walk on this song, does anyone know where I can get a lead sheet for it? I've checked the real books but its nowhere to be found and I don't really want to buy the big band score for £30.

Ps. I didn't know what forum to post this on as I didn't want tablature for it, just the lead sheet. Also please no 'transcribe it' replies, I could work out the bassline (and I will be doing anyway to get a feel for the song) and put the chords I think are most likely on it but I need to get them accurately and know that they're accurate.

None of my real books have it. Honestly, though - listen to Bobby Darrin's version; in the first couple of verses, the bass doesn't walk and it's a simple matter to hear the changes.

Ah - sometimes a few seconds on google will give faster results than posting to a forum like this. Of course, learning the song of the record will give better results, but who wants to take the time to do it yourself? While I'm thinking about it, I did NOT read through and check that score for accuracy - and in fact, 'accurate' is a misnomer - the changes that Ella's band did in Berlin aren't really the same changes as Bobby Darrin's version, and Louis Armstrong's version is different from either. You really don't need to know a bass line - you need to know the changes to the song (those are very different concepts). Once you know the changes, you can make up whatever bass line you want.

Songtrellis is great for finding the changes for some popular tunes, though they wont actually have the heads transcribed, just the chords.

I think this is pretty much it. Get the C/E and Ebdim and you've got it. C#dim7 is an added touch.

I found mine in some random fake book called 'The Book' P.164.

It's a real simple 1/2 time walk that just repeats and modulates towards the end. Whoops, just listened and the walking doubles up in the middle. It's simple though.
