Is it possible to run a ipod into the line in?

Yep...anything will plug in....1/8" or 1/4"

so I can bypass the cd and mix bass and input from ipod. in other words two inputs

You can mix the inputs...just can't take the bass out of the recording...that's what the newer digital version of this does.

So yes you canpipe whatever you want through it.
