Here is a Gator 6 space shallow rack case with a 2 space drawer already racked. The rack and drawer are only a couple of months old and in excellent condition. Due to the application I was using the rack for at the time, I cut out a couple of holes in the bottom of the rack frame which you should be able to notice in the pics (sorry for the crappy pics) so that I could route some cables from the front of the case to the rear of the case and still be able to close her up for transportation with the cables plugged in. This does not affect the integrity of the case, and the rack is still completely sealed up with the lids on for transportation.
